LUCK struck twice for a Melbourne woman who accidentally bought two TattsLotto tickets in Saturday night's draw, winning $835,000.
The woman, in her 30s, won two division one prizes worth more than $400,000 each.
Both winning tickets were purchased from separate newsagencies at Melbourne Central.
The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, works in the CBD and was contacted by TattsLotto staff with the good news this morning.
The woman couldn't believe her good fortune and thought the call was a prank.
"This isn't a hoax is it? Hang on, I'll have to take my coat off, it's really hot all of a sudden," she said.
"I buy a TattsLotto ticket every week, and I just forgot that I'd already bought one for the weekend when I went to another shop to buy the second one. I always play the same numbers made up of family birthdays."
She said half of the winnings would pay off her mortgage.
"Half of that $835,000 will go straight towards the mortgage. I guess it's a good thing we won twice so there's some prize money left over. It will be such a relief to be debt free. I'll have to go and ring hubby now to break the news."
Six of the 10 winning division one entries for Saturday night's draw were from Victoria.
Other winning entries were sold in Heidelberg, East Doncaster, Glenroy and St Albans.
