FORGET the thigh split.Sooo 2013.
The low back, bum-crack dress? Hello 2012!
The side boob? Puh-lease. Very six months ago.
Let's talk about breasts.
Sure, there has always been a plethora of flesh paraded on red carpets, on Insta posts and at a zillion A-team parties.
But what is it about breasts of late and, dare we say nipples, that are really making their presence felt, even on the most demure of dressers?

Personally, I think it's fantastic.
Breasts are a magnificent gift nature bestowed upon the female form. They are admired by most, derided by only a few.
If you are old enough, smart enough and "celebrity" enough to flaunt them (just like Rihanna often does) then go for it, I say!
Why is the source of pleasure for billions of breastfed babies around the world still the target of breast-shaming?
Are we becoming desensitised to them? Is the mystery surrounding our mammaries wearing off?

Turn on your device, your TV or a mag and chances are there will be a pair smiling out at you, often in or on the most unusual stories or shows (hello, The Voice!).
But like everything, it is the way you wear it.
Sure, there are some "names' (from A to Z-listers) who take flaunting a DD-cup too far but there are others who do it with style.
Look at Nicole Kidman, a guest of a charity ball over the weekend and whose philanthropic efforts (of which there are many) were overshadowed by the 'has-she or hasn't-she had a breast job?' tattle.

Who cares if she has? Whether a celebrity or a mere mortal, we can all do whatever we like with our bodies.
If Ms Kidman has decided to go the breast implant path, then good. On. Her.

New mum Melissa George (above) was at an event in Milan last week wearing a slightly revealing top where, dare I say the word, a nipple or two could be seen under an exquisite, sheer organza evening shirt. I thought it looked simply sensational.
There is still an air of elegance and (slight) mystery to her look because she juxtaposed the shirt with a very classic look.
Sure, this red carpet trend won't be finding its way to your office soon (HR and OH&S will see to that) but if done with elegance in mind, it can work.
Popular fashion blogger Antoinette Marie is renowned for baring her rocking body, often wearing some sexy dresses from local design team Constantina & Louise.
She recently had the French Riviera on high alert wearing a breast-baring long silk gown (pictured above) aptly named 'Grace' when she was a guest in Monaco. As expected, every head turned.

At the other end of the spectrum, newcomer Gabi Grecko (Geoffrey Edelsten's latest paramour) and serial flaunter Kim Kardashian have made showing their assets part of their celebrity schtick. Even Kim's half sister, Kendall Jenner has joined the "flaunt it" club and was seen out in a very low-cut jacket that would have needed a whole lot of Hollywood tape to keep eyes from trying to see what was underneath.

When it come to 'old school' flesh-flashers, the list could go on and on and on. But it is one Ms Elizabeth Hurley who, 20 years ago, basically kickstarted her career because she dared to bare so much breast at the premiere of Four Weddings and a Funeral.
Appearing happily alongside Hugh Grant at the time — forget the movie — it was Liz's mammaries that got all of the attention.
And you know what? Good on her.
What's that saying, if you got them, well you know the rest.
