THREE star high school athletes have been formally charged with aggravated sexual battery of a fellow student at an after-prom party.
An 18-year-old girl alleges she was raped by "multiple guys" with "a foreign object" causing severe trauma early on May 11 at a Coosawattee River Resort cabin in Gilmer County in Texas.
The girl said she didn't remember who raped her.
The cabin was rented for a party after the prom, which was held the previous night.
It's also emerged there were no parents at the party.
Fields Chapman, Avery Johnson and Andrew Hayne — three of Calhoun High School's top athletes — handed themselves in 18 days after the alleged assault and were charged, Gilmer Sheriff Stacey Nicholson told The Atlanta-Journal Constitution.
They appeared before a Gilmer County judge on Monday where they were formally charged.
Chapman and Haynes were also charged with sodomy, and Chapman has a separate 28-count indictment involving sexual exploitation of a minor, Glenda Sue Johnson, clerk of the Gilmer County Superior Court, told the newspaper.

The sexual exploitation of a minor charges against Chapman involve a separate person.
Haynes and Chapman both had been arrested months before on underage drinking charges, according to incident reports — Chapman was on probation at the time of the alleged assault.
Police say others at the party knew what was happening but did nothing.
The students had been drinking for several hours earlier, police said.
The alleged incident prompted students and the general public to post under a #standforHER hashtag in support of the teenage girl.
Some were concerned police would be slow to act because the alleged attackers were popular sporting students.
The three suspects, all aged 18, were released on bail and will reappear in court at a date to be fixed.
