JUST when you thought schoolies couldn't get any dumber - there's this.

A tired and emotional schoolies teen has been photographed reclining on the windowsill of an apartment.

While it's unclear where the photo was taken, or how high up the teen is, it's clear from the balconies pictured that he is at least two storeys above the ground if not more.

Earlier photographs taken by the same Instagram user from inside their apartment show views from dozens of storeys up, suggesting the windowsill pictured is similarly high off the ground.

''These f***wits are the reasen (sic) why people die at schoolies. #f***wit #schoolies #wanker,'' wrote the photographer, who uploaded it to picture sharing network Instagram earlier this morning.

It appears from the caption the photographer, who has not responded to requests for comment, did not know the teen in the photo.
