THE Rebels have spoken and Barack Obama must respond to their request: to build a fully operational Death Star - with construction to begin in 2016.
An official petition to the White House, requesting construction on a real-life Death Star, has attracted the 25,000 signatures required by December 14.
The White House has pledged to give an official response to any petition supported by 25,000 names.
It's a puzzling situation for the White House. On one hand they have promised to listen to the people.
On the other, those people are just 25,000 uber-nerds who expect the US Government to stump up the estimated $8,100,000,000,000,000 it would cost to build.
Then there's just that little matter of the Fiscal Cliff (not the banjo player).
What do you reckon? A polite 'thanks but, no thanks' letter? Or should the White House just suck it up and BUILD THE THING?
Contractors are urged not build any small thermal exhaust ports, right below the main port.
