OLYMPIAN snowboarder Torah Bright is the latest contestant to be forced to pull out of competing on Dancing With The Stars, making it three celebrities who have departed the reality dancing show this year.
The 27-year-old injured her big toe in rehearsals and has quit under her doctor's advice after undergoing tests at a Melbourne hospital.

"This show, it waits for nobody. If you can't walk, you can't dance," said Bright after finding out the toe was not broken but seriously bruised and swollen. "It could be just a really good toe jam and in a week the swelling will be all right but for now, I'm just keeping it elevated and staying off my feet."

The departure follows Kyly Clarke's untimely exit thanks to a hamstring injury last month.
As well as Bright and Clarke, comedian Pauly Fenech was cut from the show before the series even began after being arrested over an incident with a taxi driver.
Bright, who was partnered with professional dancer Robbie Kmetoni, said she was sorry not to make it to the end of the competition.

"It is do or die in this competition and unfortunately I am out. It is not the way I wanted to go but it is what it is. I'm disappointed for sure. Coming into this show, I knew I would be out at some point but not because of an injury, it is never fun to go that way."

But she tried positive when she chatted to Confidential, saying she was thankful to have been able to highlight her charity of choice, Free To Shine, which works to eradicate sex trafficking.
"It can always be worse," she said. "I've stayed in a fair way and I've brought some awareness to my charity and that is always great."

Bright's departure leaves only five celebrities competing in the series — McGranger, Ricki-Lee Coulter, David Rodan, Matt Cooper and Tai Hara.
But Bright has vowed to return for the finale episode later this month.
"For me with snowboarding it would be easy to sit out for an event and come back for the next one," said Bright.

Prior to this season, celebrities pulling out of the show was relatively rare. Shannon Noll pulled out due to injury in the 2012 series. Former AFL pro David Wirrpanda is the only other contestant to have ever pulled out of the competition when in 2010 he quit for personal reasons.
Home and Away actor Lynne McGranger has also suffered an injury in this series, pulling a deep glute flexer muscle in her bottom.
"I'm calling it Standing With The Stars now," McGranger said.
